ResumeUp.AI Review: A $49 Lifetime Deal Built for Job Seekers
ResumeUp.AI is an AI resume builder, ATS checker and job tracker sold on AppSumo from $49. Here's what the listing says, what it leaves out, and who should buy.
PhoneScreen AI phones candidates for $99 with 20 screens included. Qualivio ranks CVs from $69 with monthly caps. Here's which first round fits you.

PhoneScreen AI takes 2 rounds, Qualivio takes 3.
| Round | Winner | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Depth of first-round evidence | PhoneScreen AI | PhoneScreen AI gives you a scorecard, transcript and recording of a real spoken call, while Qualivio scores documents only. |
| Volume allowance | Qualivio | Qualivio's entry tier includes 200 AI analyses every month, while PhoneScreen AI's 20 screens and 200 resume analyses never refill. |
| Entry price | Qualivio | Qualivio starts at $69 against PhoneScreen AI's single $99 tier, though the two buy different things. |
| Geographic reach | Qualivio | PhoneScreen AI can only call US and Canadian numbers, and the Qualivio listing states no such restriction. |
| Scoring transparency | Tie | Both show the reasoning behind scores, and neither listing says which model does the scoring. |
| Clarity of the listing | PhoneScreen AI | PhoneScreen AI spells out its credits and top-up price, while Qualivio's tier table runs in the opposite order to its prices. |

You post a role on Friday and come back to a pile of applicants on Monday. Reading them all takes hours. Calling the promising ones takes evenings. PhoneScreen AI and Qualivio both promise to shrink that first stage, and both are lifetime deals on AppSumo. They attack it from opposite ends, though, and that’s the real choice here. We haven’t used either tool, so everything below comes from the listings.

PhoneScreen AI runs the screening call for you. You write the questions for a role, candidates get an interview link, and the AI phones them and conducts a spoken interview. The listing is clear that it’s a real phone call, not a recorded video questionnaire. The agent says it’s an AI and tells the caller the call is recorded.
Qualivio never speaks to anyone. You define your job criteria once, import CVs, LinkedIn profile URLs or a CSV, and it scores each candidate and ranks them. Nothing in the listing suggests it contacts candidates for interviews, and it describes itself as an AI scoring engine rather than an applicant tracker.
So the question to ask yourself is where your time actually goes. If it goes on reading documents, Qualivio is aimed at you. If it goes on repeating the same five questions to people who might not be right, PhoneScreen AI is.
PhoneScreen AI hands you a structured scorecard, a transcript and a recording after each completed screen. You can read the reasoning behind the score and listen back. That’s the safeguard we’d insist on with any AI that grades spoken answers, because accents, nerves and odd phrasing can trip up a model. Listen to anyone near your cutoff.
Qualivio splits each score into skills, experience and fit, with written justifications, and flags strengths and concerns on every profile. You can skim the reasoning and disagree with it. That’s a sensible design. A bare 94% would be useless.
Neither listing tells us which model does the scoring. Qualivio’s doesn’t say how it handles CVs in other languages or formats, or whether you can change the weighting. PhoneScreen AI’s doesn’t say how much control you have over the rubric or how follow-up questions work. Neither has a product video. Ask both vendors before you rely on either for a real hire.

PhoneScreen AI has one tier at $99. That buys lifetime platform access for one organization, 20 phone screens in total and 200 resume analyses in total. Neither refills. Extra screens cost $4 each, and each one adds 10 resume analyses. Only completed, scored screens use credits, so voicemails and technical failures don’t count. Purchased credits don’t expire while your license is valid.
In practice that’s closer to prepaid pay-as-you-go than a true lifetime deal. The first 20 screens work out to about $4.95 each. If you screen 10 people twice a year, you’re covered. If you screen in volume, you’ll be topping up from week one.
Qualivio has three tiers at $69, $139 and $249, and you can move between them later. The limits are listed as 6 / 3 / 1 team seats, 25 / 10 / 3 active jobs, 1,000 / 500 / 200 AI analyses a month, 5,000 / 3,000 / 1,000 candidates stored, 20 / 10 / 3 AI sourcing runs a month and 200 / 100 / 30 emails a month. The table runs largest to smallest while the prices run smallest to largest. The FAQ names Solo, Cabinet and Team plans, so $69 is probably the one-seat Solo plan. That’s our reading, not something the listing confirms, so check checkout before paying.
The monthly allowances are the big difference. Qualivio’s 200 analyses refill every month, and PhoneScreen AI’s allowances don’t. A recruiter with 140 CVs for one role would use most of Qualivio’s entry month, but would still get a fresh allowance the next one. The same person would burn through PhoneScreen AI’s resume credits fast. Both listings also show a $0 list price, which is a placeholder, so neither discount can be judged.
PhoneScreen AI’s biggest limit is geography. Calling supports US and Canadian numbers only, so its 34 interview languages won’t help if you hire anywhere else. The listing gives no date for that changing. Reference Agent, which collects reference feedback, isn’t in the deal and needs a separate Pro or Enterprise subscription. The plan also covers one organization, which agencies should check.
Qualivio’s gaps are about scope and cost. There’s no mention of careers pages, application forms or interview scheduling. Emails are capped at 30 a month on the smallest tier, which won’t go far if you contact candidates through it. LinkedIn data extraction credits are a separate add-on with no price given. We also can’t tell what an AI sourcing run is, even though the caps of 3, 10 or 20 a month show it’s scarce.
On the plus side, Qualivio gives specific data-handling details: EU hosting, encrypted storage for sensitive data, and deletion 24 months after a mission closes. Those are the vendor’s own claims, but it’s more than most deals offer. PhoneScreen AI’s listing says less about where data lives.
Both are young products with no company history or customer numbers in the listings. Both require activation within 60 days. A lifetime deal only pays off if the vendor sticks around.
Buy PhoneScreen AI if you’re an owner-manager or small agency in the US or Canada, you hire a few roles a year, and you want every candidate asked the same questions without scheduling a thing. The 20 included screens are enough to try it on one real hire, and $4 top-ups are fair after that.
Buy Qualivio if you’re a freelance recruiter or small agency running several searches at once and losing your time to CV piles. The $69 tier is a cheap way to see whether its rankings match your own judgment. Budget for a higher tier if you work with a team or more than three active jobs, and check which column of limits you’re actually getting.

Skip both if you hire a handful of people a year and can read ten CVs yourself, or if you’re not comfortable with software ranking or grading people. Whichever you pick, keep a human making the final call. If you need both a call and a ranked list, these two don’t overlap much, so the real question is which stage of your process costs you more hours.
Both cut down first-round screening, but at different points. PhoneScreen AI phones candidates and scores their spoken answers. Qualivio reads CVs, LinkedIn profiles or CSVs and ranks them against your criteria. Some buyers could use both, one before the other.
Qualivio looks cheaper for CV volume, since the $69 tier includes 200 analyses a month. PhoneScreen AI's 20 screens are a one-time bundle, then $4 per extra screen. The listings don't say what the regular plans cost, so we can't judge the discount.
Neither listing claims to. Qualivio says outright that it isn't a traditional ATS. PhoneScreen AI says you don't need to replace your ATS and can drop its interview link into a job post or auto-reply.
