Lifetime software deals for small businesses: 10 tools compared
Ten AppSumo lifetime deals for small businesses, from booking and forms to SEO and outreach, with the limits and tier quirks each listing shows.
Both are $49 social media lifetime deals on AppSumo. Creator Insights helps you research and repurpose. SocialBu schedules, reports and handles the inbox.

Most small business owners we’d talk to have two separate headaches with social media. One is knowing what to post. The other is making sure whatever you’ve written goes out on time, to the right accounts, without a tab for every network. These two lifetime deals each pick one of those headaches and mostly ignore the other.

Both cost $49 at the entry tier on AppSumo, and both are filed under social media management. That’s where the similarity ends. We haven’t used either tool, so everything here comes from the listings and, for SocialBu, a founder demo video.
Creator Insights is a research and repurposing tool that also publishes. You search for viral videos, study them, write scripts from what you find, then push the result to a long list of platforms.
SocialBu is a scheduler first. It gives you a composer, a calendar, queues, an analytics dashboard and a reply inbox, with some AI writing help on the side.
So they overlap on publishing and not much else. If you already know what you want to say and just need it to go out reliably, SocialBu fits. If you stare at a blank calendar, Creator Insights is aimed at you.
The discovery side is the main draw. You search by niche or keyword and it surfaces viral videos from Instagram and YouTube, plus daily idea suggestions based on what worked for other creators. You can audit a creator’s profile, pull out their top videos and track up to 10 competitors on the entry tier.
Canvas is the hub. You drop videos, profiles and documents onto a research board, then ask the AI to look at hooks, structure and style before it helps you write a script. That’s a sensible way to use AI, because it starts from real examples instead of a blank prompt.
There’s a limit worth knowing. Research only covers Instagram and YouTube. TikTok, LinkedIn and X appear on the publishing list but not the research list, so if your niche lives there, you’ll be researching elsewhere.
The publishing list is the longest of the two: Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, Facebook, LinkedIn, X, Threads, Pinterest, Bluesky, Tumblr, Reddit, Medium, Substack and Quora. It also claims to turn a video into a blog post and draft Reddit and Quora answers. Be careful with those last ones. Communities dislike obvious promotion, and the listing doesn’t say how much control you have over the drafts.
The listing’s integrations line names only four platforms, while the FAQ names many more. It doesn’t explain the gap, so ask which ones publish directly.

SocialBu covers the unglamorous work. Queues let you load a batch of posts and have them repeat, which keeps evergreen content circulating. CSV bulk import loads weeks of posts in one go. The calendar is drag and drop, so moving a promotion by two days takes seconds.
The demo also shows a Respond area that collects comments, messages and reviews, including Google Business and Facebook Page reviews, so you can reply without leaving the tool. It only shows the basics, so don’t assume it replaces a dedicated inbox.
Analytics is the longest part of the video. You get best post types, best times to post, and a chart comparing volume with engagement. The founder says LinkedIn reporting includes follower demographics by company size, industry and job function. If you sell to other businesses, that’s a genuine point of difference. The demo doesn’t show it with real data at scale, though.
One caution from AppSumo’s own review summary: buyers want clearer bulk upload templates, and X link posts have some limitations. If either is central to your plan, ask before you pay.
Creator Insights has three tiers. SocialBu has five, at $49, $129, $279, $499 and $799.
| Creator Insights | SocialBu | |
|---|---|---|
| Entry price | $49 | $49 (list $190) |
| Tiers | 3 ($49, $139, $319) | 5 (up to $799) |
| Review base | 2 reviews, 4.50 | 52 reviews, 4.62 |
| Main limit at entry | 2,000 one-time credits | 600 posts per month (our reading) |
| Downgrade rule | Move between tiers | Downgrade within 60 days |
Creator Insights’ credits are labeled one-time, so they don’t appear to renew. The listing never says what a search, a transcript, a script or a post costs. Without that, 2,000 credits could last months or a weekend, and we’d want an answer before paying. Its storage line is odd as well: 60 days on the first two tiers and 30 days on the top one, with no explanation.
SocialBu’s tier table has no column labels. Reading it in reverse puts the $49 tier at 600 posts a month, 8 custom queues, 500 AI credits a month, 1 team and no automations. But the social accounts row (300 / 75 / 25 / 10 / 150) doesn’t follow a clean pattern, and the inbox row looks inconsistent too. Check the plan details before buying anything above tier 1.
The cheapest SocialBu tier also lacks Listen (keyword tracking), Content Curation and the MCP assistant connection, by our reading. Those start at $129. Creator Insights’ competitor tracking and connection counts rise with its tiers, but the research features themselves aren’t gated in the listing.
Pick SocialBu if you run a small business or manage a few accounts and want to replace a monthly scheduler. Say you post to four accounts five days a week. That’s roughly 80 posts a month, so 600 leaves plenty of room. An agency with ten clients would hit the cap fast and would be looking at the higher tiers.
Pick Creator Insights if you’re a solo creator or small marketer who loses time on research and repurposing. The one-video-to-many-platforms idea is appealing, and $49 is a low-risk way to try it. Keep in mind it’s a young product with two reviews, and the credit system is unexplained.
A more cautious route is to pick SocialBu as your daily tool and treat Creator Insights as an experiment. They don’t do the same job, so buying both isn’t silly. We wouldn’t, though, until the credit question has an answer.

One line of advice for both: connect the two or three networks you actually use before the 60-day activation window runs out, and publish a week of real posts. That tells you more than any listing can.
Probably not on its own. The listing covers research, scripting and publishing, but never mentions a content calendar, approvals or analytics dashboards. SocialBu is much closer to a Buffer replacement.
SocialBu's limits look monthly, with 600 posts and 500 AI credits at the entry tier by our reading of an unlabeled table. Creator Insights calls its credits one-time, and the listing doesn't say what a credit buys.
SocialBu has the larger review base and a more familiar feature set. Creator Insights is a cheaper experiment with an unproven product and unanswered questions about credits and storage.
