Linktree Alternatives on Lifetime Deal: 5 Tools Compared
Five AppSumo lifetime deals named as Linktree alternatives, from $19 to $59 entry prices. See who each suits and what the listings leave out.
LinkCentral manages links inside WordPress with no link cap. SimpleURL hosts branded short links and QR codes with caps. Here's which lifetime deal fits.

LinkCentral takes 4 rounds, SimpleURL takes 2.

| Works without WordPress | SimpleURL | SimpleURL is a hosted service you connect to your own domain, while LinkCentral is a WordPress plugin and does nothing off WordPress. |
| Redirect logic | LinkCentral | LinkCentral redirects on 10 variables including country, device, user role and date, plus rotation, split tests and scheduling; SimpleURL's listing shows nothing similar. |
| Analytics clarity | LinkCentral | LinkCentral has every feature on every tier, while SimpleURL's table lists 'Top 10 countries' on tier 2 below 'Full analytics' on tier 1. |
| QR codes and bio pages | SimpleURL | SimpleURL says its QR codes are dynamic and repointable after printing, which LinkCentral's listing never claims. |
| Limits and value | LinkCentral | LinkCentral gives unlimited short links on every tier and varies only by site count, while SimpleURL caps tier 1 at 250 links. |
| Track record | LinkCentral | LinkCentral has 24 AppSumo reviews and an earlier launch, against six reviews for the newer SimpleURL. |

Picture two buyers. One has a dozen affiliate links scattered through old blog posts, and a merchant just changed its URLs. The other prints flyers and wants a QR code they can repoint after the print run. Both end up browsing link tools on AppSumo, and both might see LinkCentral and SimpleURL side by side. Each of them should buy a different one.

LinkCentral is a WordPress plugin from Design for WP. Your links, click data and settings sit inside your own install. Change a destination once and every post using that link updates. If your site isn’t on WordPress, you can stop reading here.
SimpleURL is a hosted tool. You connect a domain you own, and it serves short links, dynamic QR codes and a link-in-bio page from there. A business with no WordPress site can use it without any fuss. That’s its biggest edge.
Both listings say they’re alternatives to Bitly, but the fit differs. LinkCentral’s own FAQ names ThirstyAffiliates, Pretty Links and BetterLinks as its real rivals. SimpleURL is the closer match for Bitly and Rebrandly.
LinkCentral gives you unlimited short links with custom prefixes, slugs, categories and notes. It has built-in insertion for Gutenberg, Elementor and Bricks, so you can drop in a link without leaving the editor. UTM templates let you save a tag set once and apply it with a click.
The feature we’d care about most is the broken link scanner. It checks your links and notifies you when one dies, which is exactly the old-roundup-post problem. Keyword auto-linking is there too. Handy, but watch it so you don’t over-link your own pages.
Then come the dynamic redirects. They can respond to 10 variables, among them date, time, country, cookie, login status, user role and device. You can rotate URLs, run split tests, schedule a future redirect or put a link behind a password-protected page. The listing doesn’t say how split test results are reported, so treat it as a convenience and not a replacement for a testing platform.
SimpleURL is simpler by design. You get an editable back-half slug, branded QR codes with a logo, colors, dot patterns and frames, and a block-based bio page that saves automatically with no publish step. The QR codes are the standout. Print 10,000 flyers, change the campaign, repoint the code. LinkCentral lists QR codes and Link in Bio pages as extras, but its listing doesn’t say the codes can be repointed.
SimpleURL says you paste in your domain and its AI writes the DNS records for your registrar, with the domain going live in under a minute. That’s the vendor’s claim, and DNS doesn’t always keep to marketing timelines. Still, it targets the step where non-technical owners usually give up.
SimpleURL also sells city-level analytics, with device, referrer and UTM tracking. Here’s the catch. Its plan table says ‘Full analytics’ for tier 1, ‘Top 10 countries’ for tier 2 and ‘City and device level’ for tier 3. That order makes no sense, and the marketing copy reads as if everyone gets city data. Ask the company before you pay.
LinkCentral tracks geolocation, devices and referrers, and lets you filter by link or category. It can forward data to Google Analytics 4 or a webhook, send email reports and track conversions with AWIN and Impact support. Bot filtering and GDPR and CCPA-friendly controls are included. What it doesn’t say is how long click data is kept or how much it grows your database. SimpleURL at least states its retention: 6 months, 1 year or 2 years by tier.

LinkCentral keeps pricing simple. Every tier has every feature, and you pay only for more sites:
That works out to roughly $20, $12 and under $4 per site. You can stack up to 3 codes, and you must redeem within 60 days. Agencies and multi-site owners should look at tier 3 first.
SimpleURL’s tiers change what the product can do:
Ignore the list prices and look at the caps. The listing doesn’t say whether link and QR limits are monthly or total, though the FAQ says destination edits are monthly. Team seats run 1, 5 and 1 across the tiers, and workspaces run 10, 2 and 1. That looks like a typo or an odd design choice, and the listing doesn’t explain it. You can move between tiers, and you have 60 days to activate.
For LinkCentral, the open question is custom short domains. The listing doesn’t say whether you can use a separate branded domain, so confirm that if it matters to you. It also gives no retention figure for click data. The 24 reviews at 5.00 and a bootstrapped maker that started in 2021 are encouraging, though still a small sample.
SimpleURL has more unknowns. It’s young, with six reviews, and AppSumo’s own summary says bulk import is missing. Leaving Bitly would mean rebuilding links by hand, and old links keep pointing at their old domains. Integrations stop at Make and Zapier through an API key. The summary mentions a 7-day free trial with no credit card, which is the best way to see which analytics your tier actually shows.
A lifetime deal only pays off if the company survives. Neither listing gives funding or revenue details, so neither is a sure thing.
If you run WordPress and earn from affiliate links, LinkCentral is the easier call. Unlimited links, a broken link scanner, flexible redirects and every feature on every tier make a strong package at $59. Agencies with many client sites get the best value at tier 3.

If you’re a local business, creator or marketer who wants your own domain on short links, repointable QR codes and a bio page without touching WordPress, SimpleURL fits better. Start at tier 1 only if 250 links and six months of data will do. Otherwise budget for tier 2, and get the analytics wording clarified in writing first.
Only SimpleURL. LinkCentral is a WordPress plugin and needs a WordPress site. SimpleURL is a hosted service that you connect through a domain you own.
SimpleURL does, with one branded domain on tier 1 and five on tier 3. LinkCentral makes short links on your WordPress domain, and its listing doesn't say whether a separate short domain works.
SimpleURL starts lower at $49, but tier 1 caps you at 250 links, 100 QR codes and 6 months of data. LinkCentral starts at $59 for 3 sites with unlimited links.
