Creator Insights vs SocialBu: Idea Engine or Everyday Scheduler
Both are $49 social media lifetime deals on AppSumo. Creator Insights helps you research and repurpose. SocialBu schedules, reports and handles the inbox.

You post a reel, twenty people comment “price”, and you spend the evening pasting the same link into DMs. Both of these tools exist to stop that. Inrō and Zaprep each watch your Instagram comments for a keyword and send the commenter a DM automatically. Both are lifetime deals on AppSumo, and both pitch themselves as ManyChat alternatives. Past that shared job, they’re built for different buyers.

Inrō is the heavier product. Beyond keyword triggers, it lists AI-detected intent triggers, story mention replies, ad lead handling, a trainable AI agent, a built-in CRM and multi-step DM campaigns. Prices run from $59 to $799 across five tiers.
Zaprep is the lighter one. It covers keyword triggers, story replies and reactions, AI replies to DMs, a shared inbox, a link in bio page and a media kit. There are four tiers, from $39 to $349.
That difference in ambition is the real decision. If all you want is to stop losing commenters, either will probably do. If you want those commenters tracked and followed up with later, Inrō has more on paper. We haven’t used either tool, and neither listing comes with independent test results, so everything here rests on what the pages say.
Zaprep’s automation is easy to picture. You pick words like LINK, PRICE or GUIDE, each can fire a different DM, and you can scope an automation to one post so your coaching reel doesn’t send the launch discount code. It also supports Follow Gate, which makes someone follow you before the DM arrives. Facebook Pages work too, with comment replies and Messenger DMs, though Follow Gate and story replies are Instagram-only.
Inrō’s version adds AI-detected intent as an alternative to fixed keywords, which helps when people phrase the same request ten ways. The Inrō listing doesn’t mention Follow Gate or Facebook Pages at all.
The AI replies are where the two diverge in style. Zaprep lets you pick a tone (Professional, Friendly or Funny), set rules such as never inventing prices, and add a wait time before replies go out. That price rule is a sensible guardrail. What the listing doesn’t say is which AI model sits behind it, and there’s no demo video to judge quality.
Inrō’s agent is trained on your knowledge base, tone and real messages. It can collect emails and phone numbers, qualify leads and hand over to a human. You can also limit it to certain folders and topics, which is the control we’d want before letting a bot talk to customers. The demo video is a founder pitch, and the transcript is garbled in the middle, so it doesn’t prove how well any of this works.
This is where Inrō pulls ahead. Every contact is saved with profile, conversation history and custom fields like email or budget. You can segment by engagement, folder or any property, then send each group a multi-step DM campaign. Campaigns are capped monthly, from 10 on Tier 1 to 800 on Tier 5. It’s not a full sales CRM, since the listing mentions no deal stages, but it’s a real follow-up tool.
Zaprep’s equivalent is thinner. Its FAQ describes an Ask Email step that validates addresses and saves them to Contacts, exportable as CSV. The listing doesn’t describe segmentation or campaigns.
Integrations favor Inrō too: Shopify, Calendly, Stripe and Make, plus Zapier according to its FAQ. Zaprep lists only Facebook and Instagram. If you sell through Shopify or book calls through Calendly, that gap matters.
Zaprep’s extras are aimed at creators. You get a link in bio page with click tracking, and a media kit that turns your Instagram stats into a one-page sheet with engagement rate, audience breakdown, a rate card and a Work with me button. If you pay for a link page today, that could save a subscription. The listing gives no detail on customization, so we can’t say how polished either page looks.
Both tools mention Claude integration through MCP. Zaprep includes it on every plan, while Inrō reserves it for Tier 3 and above. We’d treat it as a convenience in both cases.

At the bottom, the two look like this:
One step up:
Zaprep looks far more generous on contacts, but the counting differs. It defines an active contact as a unique person messaged in a calendar month. The Inrō material we have doesn’t define its contact count as clearly, so don’t compare 5,000 to 500 as if they were identical measures.
Both AI caps are tight at the bottom. Inrō spends one credit per AI message, and condition checks inside flows use credits too, so 200 can vanish on one busy post. Zaprep’s 150 replies is the smaller number. Inrō’s escape hatch is BYOK, which lets you plug in your own OpenAI key from Tier 2. Zaprep’s listing has no such option.
Both listings also have odd spots. Inrō shows white label and client workspaces on Tiers 2 and 3 but not on Tiers 4 and 5, which sits strangely beside the agency dashboard being on the higher tiers. Zaprep’s top tier shows false for no branding, email collection and priority support, while the cheaper tiers show true. Either could be a listing mistake. Ask before paying for the top tier of either.
Zaprep’s overage rules are only partly explained. On Free and Solo plans, automations stop at the limit, and on Growth, extra usage costs $0.99 per 1,000 DMs. The listing doesn’t say how that maps to the four lifetime tiers.
On trust, Inrō shows 21 AppSumo reviews averaging 5.00, which is marketing data we haven’t verified. The Zaprep material we have shows no review figures, and it reads like a newer product. Both require license activation within 60 days and offer tier switching.
Pick Inrō if your sales already happen in Instagram DMs and you want to keep a record of who replied, segment them and message them again. Start at Tier 2, because Tier 1’s 200 credits and missing BYOK make the AI agent hard to rely on. Pick Zaprep if you want a cheap, simple entry into keyword automation, you manage a Facebook Page as well, or you’d use the bio page and media kit.

Whichever you choose, use the refund window properly. Connect one account, build a single comment-to-DM flow, send it some real traffic and watch how fast the AI allowance drains before the 60 days run out.
Zaprep. It runs from $39 to $349 across four tiers, while Inrō runs from $59 to $799 across five. Tier 1 also gives you more contacts and accounts on Zaprep, though the two tools count contacts differently.
Both listings say they use Meta's official APIs. Inrō calls itself a Meta-approved Tech Provider, and Zaprep says it uses the official Graph API with no scraping. Those are the vendors' own claims, and we haven't tested either tool.
Yes, for both. Inrō's FAQ asks for a Business or Creator account, and Zaprep's FAQ says personal accounts aren't supported by Meta's Messaging API. Switching is free.
