Creator Insights vs SocialBu: Idea Engine or Everyday Scheduler
Both are $49 social media lifetime deals on AppSumo. Creator Insights helps you research and repurpose. SocialBu schedules, reports and handles the inbox.
Creator Lookup sells verified creator emails by monthly credit. Jem Social adds contracts and escrow for UGC bookings. Here's which deal fits your campaigns.

Creator Lookup takes 3 rounds, Jem Social takes 2.
| Round | Winner | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Creator search and contact data | Creator Lookup | Creator Lookup returns a verified email with every export and filters by audience age, location and lookalikes, while Jem Social's listing never mentions emails. |
| Contracts and payments | Jem Social | Jem Social includes full contracts, tax forms and escrow on every tier, and Creator Lookup's listing covers none of that. |
| Campaign tracking | Jem Social | Jem Social promises revenue tracking, discount code attribution and link click data, and Creator Lookup lists no tracking. |
| Entry price and limits | Tie | Jem Social starts at $49 and Creator Lookup at $59, but 20 bookings and 100 email credits a month measure different things. |
| Tier clarity | Creator Lookup | Jem Social's tier 3 shows fewer monthly bookings (50) than tier 2 (150), which looks like a listing error. |
| Evidence from buyers | Creator Lookup | Creator Lookup has 26 AppSumo reviews averaging 4.81 and a founder video, while Jem Social has 4 reviews averaging 3.25 and no video. |

You’ve got a product, a modest budget for creator content, and a decision to make about where your time actually goes. Maybe finding creators with an email address that works is the slow part. Maybe it’s everything after the yes: contracts, payment and chasing deliverables. Creator Lookup and Jem Social both appear on AppSumo as cheaper alternatives to Modash and Upfluence, yet they fix opposite ends of that problem.

We haven’t used either tool. Everything below comes from the listings, and where they go quiet, we say so.
Creator Lookup is a search and contact tool. You find creators on Instagram, TikTok and YouTube, check their numbers, and export a list with verified emails. After that you’re on your own. As far as the listing shows, it doesn’t handle contracts, payments or campaign tracking.
Jem Social starts a step later and goes further. It has a discovery database too, but the pitch is the workflow. You post an opportunity, creators apply, you negotiate in chat, sign a contract, fund escrow, approve the work and release the money.
So the choice mostly comes down to where you lose time. If you already have an outreach routine and need better lists, Creator Lookup fits. If your current process is DMs, PayPal requests and hoping nobody vanishes with your product, Jem Social is aimed at you.
Creator Lookup is the stronger discovery tool on paper. You type a request like “tech reviewers in the US” and filter by followers, location, language and gender. You can also match on bio keywords, caption keywords and hashtags, plus average views, engagement rate and audience age or location. Audience location matters a lot if you only ship to one country.
There are three ways to skip the blank search box. You can paste your website URL, search by username, or use the lookalike filter to find people similar to creators you already like. Each profile panel shows followers, reach, average views and engagement per platform, along with recent posts and extra emails.
The database size is a vendor claim. The listing says 400M+ profiles, and the founder video transcript says “a million creators” at one point, so ask which is right.
Jem Social claims 250M+ creators and filters by niche, city, platform and engagement rate. It adds an AI Influencer Assistant for plain-language searches and an AI Brief Generator that drafts a campaign brief and outreach summary. The listing leans on the word “vetted” without saying what vetting involves.
The caps are tight. Every Jem Social tier gets 50 finder credits and 10 AI searches a month, and the listing never defines a finder credit. It also says nothing about verified emails, fake-follower checks or audience quality scores, so assume they aren’t there.
This is where Jem Social earns its place. Full contracts come on every tier, tax forms are handled in the platform, and payment runs through escrow. You fund the campaign, the money sits there, and it releases when you approve the work. Deadline reminders and approval requests go out automatically.
For a small business, that removes real awkwardness. You aren’t sending money to a stranger’s account and hoping. The listing doesn’t say which countries the tax forms cover, and it gives no escrow, payout or processing fees at all. That’s a gap you should close with the seller before paying.
Jem Social also promises a dashboard for campaigns, applicants and payment statuses, plus revenue tracking, discount code attribution and link click performance. The FAQ mentions Shopify, but Shopify isn’t in the integrations list, which is Instagram, LinkedIn and TikTok. If you sell on Shopify, check which version is true.
Creator Lookup has nothing comparable. Its exports go to CSV, Mailchimp, Klaviyo and other email platforms, and the site FAQ also names Smartlead and Instantly. That’s useful for outreach, but you’d need other tools for contracts and payments.

The two deals are priced close together, but the limits mean different things.
That last number looks like a typo, because the dearest tier can’t sensibly allow fewer bookings than the middle one. We wouldn’t buy Jem Social tier 3 until someone confirms the real figure. Everything else is identical across its tiers, so most small brands should treat tier 1 as the starting point.
Creator Lookup’s Tier 1 is the weak spot. A hundred creators with emails goes fast if you do outreach at volume, and the listing doesn’t say whether unused credits roll over. It also doesn’t say whether searching or viewing a profile costs credits, or only exporting does. The terms warn that future AI models may be discounted or may need an add-on, so lifetime access doesn’t necessarily cover every new feature.
Ignore the crossed-out list prices on both. Creator Lookup’s AppSumo summary mentions a 60-day money-back guarantee, and its deal ends on December 7, 2026. The Jem Social data lists activation and downgrade windows of 60 days but doesn’t mention a refund or an end date.
Creator Lookup has 26 AppSumo reviews averaging 4.81. The summary mentions server performance and credit limits as minor complaints, and we’d take both seriously, since credits are the whole product. The demo video is a founder pitch, not a walkthrough, so it doesn’t show what searching feels like.
Jem Social has four reviews averaging 3.25, and there’s no demo video. That’s thin evidence for a product that promises discovery, a marketplace, contracts, escrow and attribution all at once. Platforms that try to do that much often end up uneven in places, and we can’t tell you which parts here.
Neither sample is large enough to settle anything. Creator Lookup simply has more, and warmer, evidence behind it.
Pick Creator Lookup if outreach is your routine and you want a big, filterable list with working emails. Tier 2 at $119 is the one we’d look at first, and the refund window makes it cheap to check email accuracy on a real campaign.

Pick Jem Social if you book a handful of UGC creators a month and the payment and contract side is what hurts. Start at $49, ask about fees, confirm the booking numbers, and use the 60-day window to see whether creators actually apply to your briefs. If you need deep influencer analytics, skip both and look at a dedicated platform.
The Jem Social listing never mentions verified emails or CSV exports, so we wouldn't count on it. It focuses on in-platform messaging, applications, contracts and escrow. Ask the seller before buying if email export matters.
Tier 2 at $119 looks like the best balance. It gives 300 credits a month plus 1,500 launch bonus credits and MCP access. Tier 1 at $59 gives only 100 credits a month, which suits one small campaign every so often.
The AppSumo summary for Creator Lookup mentions a 60-day money-back guarantee. The Jem Social data we have lists 60-day activation and downgrade windows but doesn't mention a refund, so confirm that before purchase.
