Our take: Worth a look for small agencies and freelancers who prospect local businesses, especially web and SEO sellers who want the site-analysis tier. Skip it if you need inbox-level verified emails, rollover credits, or a CRM with proven track record.
Picture a Sunday evening spent copying plumber names out of Google Maps into a spreadsheet, then guessing at email addresses one by one. Most small teams that sell to local businesses have done some version of that. LeadsAgent is built to take that chore off your plate, and the AppSumo deal starts at $79.

It’s a young product with one AppSumo review so far, a 5 out of 5. That’s one data point, so I wouldn’t lean on it. Here’s what the listing actually tells us, and where it leaves gaps.
The pitch is simple. You describe your ideal customer in a plain-English sentence, and an AI agent goes looking. The listing says it searches a database of 200M+ businesses, and that background agents keep researching while you do other work.
The FAQ adds a wrinkle worth knowing. Data comes from public business listings and company websites, researched in real time. So the leads should reflect what each business shows today, rather than a stale database export. The listing doesn’t say how fresh the underlying “200M+” records are, and it doesn’t name its sources beyond that.
One feature stands out for a specific crowd. The agent can find businesses that have no website. If you sell web design, that’s your whole target list in one search.
Each lead arrives with a set of fields attached:
The score is the part I’d treat carefully. The listing doesn’t explain how it’s calculated, so you can’t tell whether it reflects fit, reachability or something else. Use it as a sorting hint, not a verdict.
Then there’s the email claim. The marketing says emails are “found and checked.” The FAQ is more candid: verification happens at the domain level, meaning the MX record, DNS records and domain validity. It does not confirm that the specific inbox exists.
That’s a real difference. A domain-level check tells you the company can receive email. It doesn’t tell you that jim@theirshop.com is a live address. If you plan to send cold email in volume, expect some bounces, and budget for running the list through a dedicated verifier first.

This is the most interesting part for agencies. On every website it finds, LeadsAgent checks HTTPS and SSL/TLS certificates, flags slow sites, and notes missing SEO basics. The idea is to give you a concrete reason to reach out. “Your certificate is misconfigured” beats “I do web design” as an opener.
The listing doesn’t say how deep these checks go, what the speed test measures, or what the “SEO basics” list covers. Treat it as a quick triage, not an audit you’d hand to a client.
It’s also gated. Website analysis and multi-location bulk extraction aren’t in tier 1. You need at least two codes to get them.
Here’s the deal as listed. Each code adds 5,000 researched leads and 50 AI messages per month, and you can stack up to 4 codes.
| Tier | Price | Leads/month | AI messages/month | Background agents |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | $79 | 5,000 | 50 | 1 |
| 2 | $98 | 10,000 | 100 | 1 |
| 3 | $147 | 15,000 | 150 | 2 |
| 4 | $196 | 20,000 | 200 | 3 |
A few things to read carefully. One credit is one business researched. Matches the agent finds but doesn’t research don’t cost anything, and the same business found twice in a session counts once. That’s fair.
AI messages are the messages you send to the agent. Its own research steps don’t count, and the listing says one message can research thousands of leads. So 50 messages is probably plenty for a lightly used account. It would only pinch if you run lots of small, separate searches.
Nothing rolls over, though. Leads and messages reset monthly and unused ones vanish. If you only prospect in bursts, you’ll waste credits in the quiet months. If you run out mid-month, research pauses until the refresh, though everything you’ve already pulled stays in your Leads tab and exports to CSV with filters.
The list prices ($348 and up) are the usual AppSumo anchor, and I’d ignore them. The question is whether 5,000 researched leads a month is worth $79 once, and for a solo seller it clearly could be. Tier 1 just leaves out the two features that make this interesting for agencies, which is a slightly awkward way to structure an entry price.
Two housekeeping points. You must redeem codes within 60 days of purchase, and the deal carries AppSumo’s 60-day money-back guarantee. The listing also promises all future plan updates, which is only as good as the company’s survival.
Skip it if your outreach depends on clean, inbox-verified email. The domain-level check won’t protect your sender reputation by itself.
Skip it if you want a full sales platform. The listing mentions CSV and Excel export, Chrome and Google Maps, but no CRM sync, sequencing or outreach tools. It finds and researches leads, and the rest is up to you.
Be cautious if you need long-term certainty. This is a lifetime deal on a new product, in a category dominated by Apollo, Hunter.io and ZoomInfo. The listing doesn’t mention a company size, a roadmap or a track record. The refund window is your safety net, so use it: run real searches for your own niche in the first few weeks and check how many of the emails and phone numbers hold up.

If you’re a freelancer or small agency selling to local businesses, the sensible move is one code first. If you find yourself wanting the site analysis, stack a second.
No. Researched-lead credits and AI messages refresh monthly, and anything unused expires at the refresh. Leads you've already researched stay saved in your Leads tab.
No. The listing's FAQ says emails are checked at the domain level (MX and DNS records, domain validity) and that inboxes are not verified. Expect some bounces and use a separate verifier if sending volume matters.
Tier 2 or higher, which means stacking at least two codes for $98. Tier 1 doesn't include website analysis or multi-location bulk extraction.
