A bad review shows up on your Google profile and nobody on your team sees it for days. That’s the situation both of these tools try to fix, but they go about it very differently, and they aren’t priced for the same buyer.

Local Rank Tracker and OMINVO side by side

Local Rank Tracker, also called RC Local, is a broad Google Business Profile tool. It writes posts, replies to reviews, tracks your rankings on Google Maps and has agency features on top. OMINVO is much narrower. It watches your Google reviews, emails you, and drafts a reply with Anthropic’s Claude for you to approve.

We haven’t used either one. Everything below comes from the AppSumo listings, and where those are silent, we say so.

Where they overlap, and where they stop

The shared job is handling Google reviews quickly. Both connect to your Google Business Profile, both draft AI replies, and both alert you to new reviews. If that’s all you want, you could reasonably shortlist both.

After that, the products split. Local Rank Tracker adds a keyword rank tracker, SERP ranking snapshots, scheduled posts, AI-generated post images and bulk listings management. OMINVO adds competitor review comparison and a 30-day view of review velocity, plus an ROI calculator.

So one is a profile management suite with a review feature inside it. The other is a review tool with a few analytics attached. That difference should drive your decision more than the price gap.

Reviews: OMINVO is more specific

OMINVO’s listing is clear about alerts. You get an email within 60 seconds of a new review, and you can filter to only 1 to 3 star reviews. If you get plenty of five-star reviews, that filter keeps the pings from turning into noise. Email appears to be the only channel. The listing mentions no app, push or Slack alerts.

Replies take under 12 seconds to draft, according to the listing, using the review text, your business name, your industry and an optional tone profile. Nothing posts without your sign-off. Auto-post exists, but only on the top GigaChad plan with per-star rules.

Local Rank Tracker says its AI agent drafts replies in your brand’s voice and publishes posts. You can approve each reply with one click or let it run automatically. It says you get an alert about a negative review within minutes, which is vaguer than OMINVO’s 60 seconds.

Neither listing shows sample replies. We can’t tell you whose drafts read better, and you shouldn’t assume either does.

Local Rank Tracker vs OMINVO round by round

Rankings and multiple locations: Local Rank Tracker wins

If you care where you appear on Google Maps for keywords like “dentist near me”, OMINVO simply doesn’t address it. Local Rank Tracker does. You add keywords and locations, watch positions over time, and get rank reports you can share by link.

The listing leaves gaps here. It doesn’t say how often ranks refresh, how the map or grid view works, or which competitors you can compare against. AppSumo’s own review summary says competitor insights and more integrations are still being added. So the tracker exists, but we can’t vouch for its depth.

Multi-location is the other clear gap. Local Rank Tracker lets you connect several profiles and run them from one dashboard. OMINVO is described as a tool for single-location businesses, and nothing in its listing mentions a multi-location view. It also names agencies as a target audience, which sits awkwardly with that. If you look after client locations, OMINVO’s own framing points away from you.

Price and tier limits

OMINVO is the easy one to price. There’s a single lifetime tier at $89, down from a $360 list price. You must redeem within 60 days, you get future plan updates, and you can stack up to 3 codes.

The problem is what the $89 buys. The regular plans are Noob (free, 5 AI replies a month), Chad ($30 a month) and GigaChad ($99 a month, adding competitor tracking, review generation and team seats). The listing never says which one the lifetime code matches, or what stacking adds. That’s a real hole for a payment you can’t easily reverse. The free plan helps, since you can connect your profile and read the drafts before paying.

Local Rank Tracker has four lifetime tiers:

  • $149 (list $699): 300 AI credits a month, 20 keywords, 5 locations
  • $239 (list $1,199): 2,500 credits, 150 keywords, 25 locations
  • $419 (list $2,099): 5,000 credits, 300 keywords, 50 locations
  • $1,199 (list $5,999): 15,000 credits, 1,000 keywords, unlimited locations

The listing doesn’t label which figures belong to which tier. We’ve matched them to the tiers by lining up the listed order, so confirm this at checkout.

The bigger worry is the feature grid. In the last column, the AI agent, MCP, protection alerts, review alerts, bulk management, reports and even the keyword rank tracker all show as false. If that column is the $149 tier, the cheapest entry may not include the headline features. White-label reports, location groups and guest accounts look limited to the top two tiers.

The listing also mentions five license tiers while showing four. Check before you pay.

Which should you buy?

Pick OMINVO if you have one location, a salon, gym or dental practice say, and the pain is slow reaction to reviews. It’s the cheaper bet, the free plan lets you try it, and the approval step keeps the AI from posting something odd under your name. Ask the seller which plan the code equals and what the monthly reply cap is first. It’s also a young product with a “coming soon” roadmap, and Yelp, Trustpilot and Meta aren’t supported yet.

Pick Local Rank Tracker if you manage several locations, run an agency, or want rankings and profile posting in the same place. The 60-day money-back guarantee lowers the risk, and AppSumo shows 136 reviews averaging 3.99 out of 5. That’s decent, not flawless, and the summary mentions some onboarding and stability problems the team says it has fixed.

You probably shouldn’t buy either if you only get a handful of reviews a year. Replying by hand takes minutes.

Who should pick Local Rank Tracker or OMINVO

One practical suggestion. If you go with Local Rank Tracker, don’t assume the $149 tier gives you the features on the sales page. Look at the grid, count the keywords you’d really track against the 20 listed, and test inside the refund window.

Frequently asked questions

Do Local Rank Tracker and OMINVO both reply to Google reviews?

Yes. Both draft AI replies for Google Business Profile reviews. OMINVO needs your approval for every reply unless you use auto-post on its GigaChad plan. Local Rank Tracker lets you approve each one with a click or run automatically.

Which one tracks local search rankings?

Only Local Rank Tracker. It has a keyword rank tracker, SERP ranking snapshots and rank reports. OMINVO's listing mentions competitor star ratings and review velocity, but no keyword rankings.

Is either lifetime deal risky to buy?

Both have unanswered questions. OMINVO doesn't say which paid plan the code equals, and Local Rank Tracker's entry tier may lack key features. Local Rank Tracker offers a 60-day refund. OMINVO's listing states a 60-day redemption window and a free plan, but no refund policy.
