Local Rank Tracker, also called RC Local, comes from Rating Captain. According to the listing, it is an AI app that manages your Google Business Profile for you. It writes posts, replies to reviews, optimizes your profile and tracks how you rank in local search, so more nearby customers find you.

There is no product video, so this review relies on the AppSumo listing. We have not used the tool ourselves.

How it works

You connect one or more Google Business Profiles. The listing says you can group several locations and run them from a single dashboard.

The AI Agent then drafts replies in your brand’s voice and publishes posts to your profile. You can approve each reply with one click or let it run automatically. The listing says no marketing or SEO experience is needed because the tool shows what to improve and does most of the work.

Rank tracking runs alongside this. You add keywords and locations and watch your visibility on Google Maps over time.

The listing does not say how often ranks refresh, how the grid or map view works, or which competitors you can compare against. AppSumo’s review summary says competitor insights and more integrations are still being added.

These appear to run from the top tier to the $149 tier. That ordering is our reading of the listing, so confirm it on the checkout page.

The feature grid shows “false” in the last column for the AI agent, MCP, protection alerts, review alerts, bulk listings management and reports, and even the keyword rank tracker. If that column is the $149 tier, the entry price may buy much less than the headline features suggest. Check exactly what each tier includes before paying.

Agency features like white-label reports, location groups and guest accounts appear limited to the top two tiers.

The tool is also not unlimited at any tier except locations. AI credits are capped monthly, so heavy use of bulk post and reply generation could run into the limit.

Who it’s for (and who should skip it)

A good fit:

• You manage many keywords or locations and cannot afford the higher tiers.

Buying advice: AppSumo shows 136 reviews averaging 3.99 out of 5. That is decent but not flawless. Treat the glowing summary as marketing copy. Use the 60-day refund window to test your real keywords, check that the AI replies sound like your brand, and confirm that the features you need are in your tier.
