You’ve recorded the lessons, you’ve got a few people waiting, and you’d rather not pay a monthly fee to Kajabi or Teachable before anyone has bought. Both of these AppSumo lifetime deals aim at that exact worry. They just get there in very different ways.

CourseGlade LMS and OnlineCourseHost.com side by side

The real difference: your site or theirs

CourseGlade LMS is a WordPress plugin. You install it on a site you already host, and your courses live there. The listing asks for WordPress 6.4+ and PHP 7.4+, and says course pages work with most themes, including block themes.

OnlineCourseHost.com is a hosted platform. You sign up, build the course, and get a branded course site on your own domain. The FAQ promises unlimited video hosting and bandwidth, which is the part you’d otherwise have to sort out yourself with a plugin.

That choice settles a lot. If you already have a WordPress site you’re comfortable with, CourseGlade fits into it. If the idea of managing hosting, updates, backups and security sounds like a second job, a plugin is the wrong shape for you, however good the price.

What you can build

On paper, CourseGlade’s listing is the more detailed one for the course side. It describes modules and lessons, video, audio, text, quizzes and assignments, drag-and-drop ordering and scheduled drip content. Quizzes come with 8 question types, passing grades, time limits, attempt limits and randomised questions. There’s also a gradebook with letter grades and GPA, progress tracking, and automatic certificates.

OnlineCourseHost.com lists video, quizzes, assignments, downloads, text and audio lessons, plus drip emails and lesson prerequisites. It doesn’t spell out question types, grading or certificates. That doesn’t mean they’re missing. It means the listing doesn’t say, and you’d need to ask.

One warning on CourseGlade. The written review we’re working from says the listing doesn’t describe quizzes, certificates or drip, but the collected listing data does. We’ve gone with the listing data, and it’s worth confirming against the live demo.

On design, OnlineCourseHost.com has a flag. AppSumo’s own summary of buyer reviews mentions limited customization options, and the listing never shows what the page editor can do. CourseGlade, running inside WordPress, sits on whatever theme you already have, though we can’t judge how its templates look.

Selling, community and AI

CourseGlade covers payments well for a plugin. You get built-in Stripe checkout, WooCommerce, manual or offline payments and free enrollment, on every tier. The listing also mentions one-time purchases, sale prices, subscription plans, coupons and course bundles. Multi-instructor tools are included in every tier too: invitations, individual commission rates, earnings and withdrawals. If you run a small marketplace, that’s a real point in its favour.

OnlineCourseHost.com sends sales to your Stripe or PayPal account. It also puts more around the course. You can create multiple community rooms set to free, paid, private or invite-only, with likes, replies, pinned posts, roles and badges. There are bulk email tools, though the listing says nothing about segmentation or sending limits.

Then there’s the AI. A creator assistant drafts lesson titles, descriptions, teasers and images. A student assistant, trained on your course, answers questions and flags confusing topics. It’s a decent idea. But the listing doesn’t name the model, mention usage limits or show how it copes with long courses, so treat it as a drafting aid until proven otherwise.

CourseGlade lists OpenAI among its integrations, yet none of its feature descriptions explain what that does. We can’t say what you’d get from it.

Prices and tier limits

CourseGlade has four tiers, and the only stated difference is how many sites you can use it on:

Tier Price Sites
1 $59 1
2 $149 5
3 $299 25
4 $589 100

You can move between tiers, and all of them include lifetime access and future updates. You must activate within 60 days. The listing shows no regular price, so we can’t tell you what the deal saves. The written review gives an end date of 2026-10-27, which has already passed, so confirm on AppSumo that the deal is still open before you plan around it.

OnlineCourseHost.com runs from $99 up to $990 across ten tiers, with a list price of $780 on the entry tier. The first five tiers are $99, $198, $297, $396 and $495. Each extra stacked code adds one course website and one custom domain. Codes must be redeemed within 60 days, and the deal is only for new users without an existing account.

The tier table in the review we’re working from is garbled. The custom domain row doesn’t count down cleanly, which looks like a copy error. So we can’t give you reliable caps on courses per tier. Read the live plan table before paying.

There’s a second oddity. The demo video describes the normal Pro plan as $49 a month with 100 active users, while the listing talks about unlimited students. Neither source explains how the lifetime plan handles active users. Ask support before you send traffic.

For agencies, the maths favours CourseGlade. Five client sites for $149 is hard to beat on paper, whereas stacking OnlineCourseHost.com codes adds cost for every extra site.

Track record and risk

Here OnlineCourseHost.com is clearly ahead. It has 174 AppSumo reviews averaging 4.48, with buyers praising support and ease of use. AppSumo’s summary also mentions a 60-day money-back guarantee, which lowers the risk of trying it.

CourseGlade has one review, a 5.00. That’s pleasant but tells you almost nothing. The listing doesn’t state refund terms, so check AppSumo’s policy first. And with a plugin, lifetime access depends on the developer still maintaining it years from now. The same is true of any lifetime deal, but it bites harder with a young product.

A plugin also means you carry the hosting costs yourself. The $59 price tag doesn’t include your WordPress hosting, so factor that in if you don’t already pay for it.

Which one to buy

Buy CourseGlade if WordPress is already home and you want courses, payments and instructor commissions under your own roof. The $59 tier is a low-risk way to try it on one site. Watch the live demo and confirm quizzes, certificates and drip work as described before you commit.

Buy OnlineCourseHost.com if you’re a solo creator who wants a hosted site, a community and AI help in one place, and you’d like some evidence other people are using it. Start with the $99 tier, build one real course in the first couple of weeks, and use the refund window if it doesn’t hold up.

Who should pick CourseGlade LMS or OnlineCourseHost.com

If you do neither WordPress nor hosting, the choice is easy. Pick the hosted one.
